Situated on Brosewere Bay in Woodmere, NY, The Keystone Yacht Club's waterfront location provides easy and quick access to sensational paddling. Experience nature and wildlife from a new perspective as you paddle the bays, creeks and marshes of Nassau County's South Shore.
Kayak membership at the Keystone has many advantages:
Paddle a few feet from the KYC docks and your fishing adventure begins.
Large amounts of cocktail blues and schoolie size Striped Bass invade the local waters in mid april and after that there is a steady pick of Fluke, Porgies and Sea bass for the balance of the summer season. Striped bass become more plentiful again in the fall as the water cools down.
Kayak To The Beach
Hewlett Beach in the Town of Hempstead is a quick 1.5 mile paddle from the Keystone Yacht Club.
Hewlett Point Park is located in East Rockaway, in the Town of Hempstead, and is open seasonally. If you are looking for a family-oriented, relaxing atmosphere, Hewlett Point Park is the perfect destination for you, your family and friends. Indeed, family passes are available, which get you in from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The park is well-maintained and well equipped with picnic areas, a playground, concession stands and vending machines for those who don't have time to pack up a snack.
Once you are done sunbathing by the pool, or swimming, you can enjoy some of the park's recreational activities, which include basketball courts, tennis courts, a pool, and playgrounds.
If you are looking to explore the area and go on a more educational tour, you can always head over to the East Rockaway Grist Mill Museum in Memorial Park, where admission is free.
